Our aim is to make the treatment simple, affordable, and efficient to treat Diabetes, focusing on Diabetes Mellitus.
Diabetes is also referred to as Black Death from the 14th Century. Epidemiology of Diabetes reveals 366 million people had Diabetes Mellitus in 2011; estimated that by 2030 this would have risen to 552 million people expected to have diabetes in 70% of developing countries.
Aetiology of diabetes also uncovers some of the lifestyle choices as a major factor for a cause of disease. Factors like lack of exercise, unhealthy meal planning, and overweight or obesity.

Zenon has a well-balanced portfolio, having capabilities of mitigating cardiovascular conditions as well as other diseases associated with it.
Of an estimated 58 million death globally from all causes in 2005, cardiovascular diseases accounted for 30%. As Cardiovascular disease places a significant economic burden on low or middle income countries, the resources available for its management in these countries are limited because of competing health priorities. Common causes which lead to cardiovascular disease are high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking, stress etc.

Respiratory disease causes an immense worldwide health burden. It is estimated that more than 200 million people are have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and 65 million endure moderate to severe COPD. Each year, 4 million people die prematurely from chronic respiratory diseases.

Ophthalmics
Zenon’s specialist division of ophthalmics delivers multidisciplinary treatment for mild and chronic eye conditions.
Leading causes worldwide in 1990 and 2010 for blindness were cataract (39% and 33%, respectively), uncorrected refractive error (20% and 21%), and macular degeneration (5% and 7%), and for moderate and severe vision impairment were uncorrected refractive error (51% and 53%), cataract (26% and 18%), and macular degeneration (2% and 3%). Causes of blindness varied substantially by region. Worldwide and in all regions more women than men were blind or had moderate and severe vision impairment due to cataract and macular degeneration.
